SEM – Prosperent Advertising Network

The halcyon days of big paychecks from the Google Adsense platform are well and truly gone and over the last few years it has been extremely difficult for Affiliate Marketers to make any revenue from displaying Adsense on their sites. Monetizing your Site can be very lucrative and although other networks exist that will pay you for clicks, generally speaking, either traffic volume is low or the cpc is low.
Cost per Action (CPA) is, for many affiliate marketers, a much more effective method of revenue generation as you actually make a commission, based on a percentage of the sale value, rather than getting a few cents for a click that may have ultimately generated a sale of $1,000s of dollars.
Prosperent is a growing advertising network that place contextually sensitive ads on your site but actually pay you a % of any sale that results from a click off an ad on your Site.
It works very similar to the Adsense model in that you generate an ad based on a keyword that you want to target, there are a number of different ad sizes and layouts and you can easily alter colours, etc, of the components. You´re then given the javascript code for the ad to place in your pages and you´re good to go.
The major difference is that ads are displayed according to criteria set by Prosperent, determined by Commercial Intent, and this often means that ads may not be displayed on all occasions – queries from SE´s will almost always present an ad but some page views from alternative sources, blogs and forums etc, may not always show an ad on your Site.
I´ve been looking for an alternative to Adsense for some time and have just started using their Service on one of my old Adsense sites so over the next few months I´ll report back my findings.
Some users have reported a 10 fold increase in earnings using Prosperent and there have been a couple of occurrences of sales of $715 to $1300 from one click – obviously from high end items.
The sign up process is simple and straightforward as is the ad generation system – a  much cleaner and quicker interface than most systems.
I don´t always recommend my clients to monetize their sites but if you do then I suggest you give Prosperent a try – I think it´s going to be the way of the future.!!
